ARL events bring together individuals in research libraries from across North America and beyond with thought leaders and research and learning decision-makers to inform, shape, and act on timely and critical topics. Our events reach hundreds of individuals each year, most of whom are the ultimate decision-makers in their roles or the experts in their organizations.
Your support provides an opportunity for emerging leaders to participate, to engage with experts, and to network with peers. These events have a long-lasting impact within institutions, across the profession, and within the research and learning community.
ARL welcomes event sponsorships for our public as well as some member-only events. Our planned events include:
- 2026 President’s Institute (public): The President’s Institute is an interactive event that convenes a broad community of individuals, subject-matter experts, middle managers, senior leaders, and general executives from ARL libraries and beyond on top-of-mind issues facing research libraries. In 2026 the President’s Institute theme is innovation.
- 2026 Association Meeting receptions (member representatives and invited guests): Member representatives and guests meet two times a year for informal and formal sessions with experts. Reception sponsorships are welcome.
Your sponsorship could support:
- The event in general
- A keynote speaker or session
- A signature event or meal
- An equity sponsorship to cover travel or the conference fee
ARL will recognize your sponsorship with:
- Acknowledgement in print and digital program materials
- Recognition of support in all presentations and publications about the event
- An annual update on ARL’s events
- For sponsors of signature events, receptions, or public programs, an invitation to meet with the attendees
